Shannon Meadows

I can’t wait to get to my studio.
You’ll find me at the Artisan’s Resource Center in Marietta, GA on most days. Making art challenges and fascinates me. I’m interested in reaching an essence of a subject. My current series centers on transportation. The feeling is a moment in time going from point A to point B. I’m always on a journey and the destination is a moving target. My goal is to transport the viewer of my work to a place, though familiar, that they’ve never been before, a new vision or perspective.
I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, graduated from UK with a degree in Painting and Drawing then got a MFA School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I taught in the foundations department of the Art Institute of Atlanta for four years.
You can find my work at Robert Kent Gallery in Marietta, or on Instagram, and Facebook.
