Years ago as an apprentice Goldsmith in the Caribbean, Gerry discovered
jewelry and wearable art.
Over time she has studied techniques that include flameworked glass, fusing,
precious metal clay, metalworking soldering, bead weaving, knotting, wire
work and braiding.
In 1998 Gerry opened Beads by Design, A retail bead store in Marietta Georgia, located at the Artisan Resource Center on Cobb Parkway. Here she has been able share her knowledge with others providing them with the skills and materials to fulfill their creative quests.
